At its annual awards luncheon on Oct. 22, Nebraska Chapter 12 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) inducted new officers for 2010 and presented several awards.

Dave Davis, president of Blackthorne Real Estate Development Company in Omaha, will now serve as the institute's president; Scott Vyskocil, vice president of property management at NAI FMA Realty in Lincoln, will serve as president-elect; and Kristy Lamb, regional property manager for NP Dodge Management Company in Omaha, is the new secretary/treasurer.

Jay Stanley, NP Dodge Management Company, and Kim McIntosh, Southwest Gables Apartments, will serve as co-chairs for the Accredited Residential Manager® (ARM®) committee.

Three members of Nebraska Chapter 12 were honored at the luncheon for their contributions to the real estate management profession and their community. Bev Ellis, vice president of property management for Coldwell Banker Commercial World Group of Omaha, was named as the chapter's Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) of the year.

Tina Wagner, of NP Dodge Management in Omaha, was recognized as the chapter's Accredited Residential Manager® (ARM®) of the Year for her fund-raising efforts during the last two Special Olympics golf tournament fundraisers.

Sahar Al-Turk, property manager at Coldwell Banker Commercial World Group of Omaha, was honored as the Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) Candidate of the Year for her volunteer efforts, participation in chapter events and speed toward earning her CPM® designation.

Nebraska Chapter 12 also presented a donation of $16,575 to Special Olympics Nebraska at the luncheon. Katie Bowser accepted the award on behalf of Special Olympics Nebraska. The funds were raised during Nebraska Chapter 12's annual charity golf tournament on Aug. 17 at The Champions Club in Omaha. The proceeds will support the mission and activities of Special Olympics throughout Nebraska.
